BONTOC, Mt. Province -As the May 10, 2010 polls draw near, the prelate of Bontoc-Lagawe (BONLAG) calls for a clean and honest elections. Speaking to about 35 Social Action Workers from Ifugao and Mt. Province, Bishop Rodolfo Beltran of BONLAG said that it is our duty to contribute in nation building through a clean and honest elections. "I pray that all our efforts in trying to build our nation through clean and honest elections will be blessed," Beltran said. With the theme, "Through the years. . . forward ever, …..backward never" , the Social Action and Development Center-Monitoring Team (SADC-MT) of the Apostolic Vicariate of Bontoc-Lagawe headed by Fr. Valentin Dimoc, SADC Director converged for a general assembly. Beltran disclosed that with the active participation of the SADC who heads the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting(PPCRV), illegal conduct of elections will not be allowed. He therefore hailed the participants who are sacrificing a lot to achieve the church’s goal of a clean and honest elections. "If we are not here, who will do it for us?," Beltran said. He also acknowledged the efforts of the SADC volunteers from the different Mission Stations (MS) of the vicariate and their counterparts in the Basic Ecclesial Communities (BECs). "Whatever efforts we contribute means a lot for this coming elections," Beltran said adding that these are for the good of the country because the social action workers participate in nation building. **Vency D.
